Corozal Hindus celebrate Diwali
And while some Christians may believe that the end is near, members of Belize’s Hindu Community are busy celebrating their new year. It’s called Diwali, or the festival of lights, a time when Hindus all over the world pray for blessings. The scenes on your screen are from Sunday night’s celebration in Corozal, which included dancing, games, skits and other entertainment, much of which centred around children.
