A Silk Grass Man is Charged with Murder
A resident of Silk Grass Village has been indicted for murder after initially being arraigned last week on charges stemming from a brutal attack on fifty-two-year-old Harrison Bowers. According to Dangriga police, Bowers was stabbed multiple times to the hands, chest and abdomen. The incident took place sometime around nine-thirty P.M. on February twenty-first. While the victim, also a resident of Silk Grass Village, was later transferred to the K.H.M.H. from the Southern Regional Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries over the weekend. According to Sergeant Wilfredo Ferrufino, charges brought against Enrique De Paz have since been upgraded.

“On the twenty-first of February, sometime around nine-fifteen p.m., police received information that there was a man at the Southern Regional Hospital with multiple stab wounds. As a result, police visited the hospital and found one Harrison Bowers suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper portion of his body. An investigation was conducted and one Enrique De Paz was detained. Enough information as gathered that the charges of attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm were levied on him on the twenty-fifth of February. On the twenty-seventh of February, sometime around five-forty-five a.m. Mr. Bowers succumbed to his injuries at the KHMH. On today’s date, Mr. Enrique De Paz has been charged for murder.”

“Well from the initial investigation that we conducted revealed that Mr. De Paz had gone to the residence of Mr. Bowers and was inside his residence and Mr. Bowers came home and found him in his residence and at that point Mr. De Paz inflicted the injuries to Mr. Bowers.”
