Accused murderer back in custody
Although police say they have been on the lookout for escaped prisoner Darrington Lauriano, he wasn’t exactly on the run, more like hiding out in plain view, at almost the exact same place they picked him up the first time. Today, Lauriano was taken into custody from a house in the North Creek area of Belize City, not far from where Kareem Broaster was killed. Twenty-three year old Broaster was shot in front of his home on North Creek on January fifteenth. A few days later, Lauriano was arrested in connection with the crime, but in September, a foul-up at the Queen Street police station allowed Lauriano and another accused murderer Basil Willis to escape. Willis was captured almost immediately, but Lauriano has remained at large until today.
