Shipyard man drowns in Blue Creek
A Sunday afternoon outing in the Orange Walk District turned deadly for one resident of Shipyard. According to police reports, thirty-five year old Abram Theissen was having some drinks with friends when the group went down to Blue Creek for a swim. Upon reaching the water’s edge, Theissen reportedly jumped in and but failed to resurface. Police and nearby residents organized a search team but it wasn’t until around ten thirty this morning that Theissen’s body was pulled from the river. The corpse awaits a post-mortem at the Northern Regional Hospital.
