Suspect arrested in schoolyard shootout
Today, police brought charges against thirty-three year old Lincoln Robinson. Shortly after ten on Thursday morning, Robinson tried to get away from a police patrol by running into the grounds of Queen’s Square Anglican School. Despite the fact that there were children in the vicinity, Robinson is alleged to have pulled out his firearm, a Glock nine millimetre, and fired a shot at one of the officers. The police responded by shooting Robinson in his left leg. This morning, authorities charged him with aggravated assault, threat of death against a police officer and discharging a firearm in public, as well as the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. Aside from some very frightened children and teachers, no student or member of staff was injured during the incident.
