Ride-by shooting, arrest for theft
In other crime news a Belize City man was shot in the chest and buttocks Wednesday night. Twenty-four year old Mark Gardiner told police that around eight o’clock he opened the door of his house on Jane Usher Boulevard, only to be the target of several shots fired by a man on a bicycle. Gardiner was admitted to the KHMH in stable condition. Police are seeking a suspect.
Two Belize City teens are under arrest for allegedly stealing the lower unit of an outboard motor. The owner of a water taxi docked at the Princess Hotel Marina reported to police that the foot of his two hundred horsepower Yamaha, including a stainless steal prop, was missing. Investigations led cops to arrest eighteen year old Larry Zetina of Cleghorn Street and Gilbert Alamilla of Kelly Street who have both been charged with theft and handling stolen property.
