One held after armed robbery
Sometime after one this afternoon three armed men walked into Quang Singh 23 supermarket on Racecourse Street and held up the proprietors. According to the police, the owner was relieved of three hundred dollars in cash while one of the robbers held a gun to his wife’s head. The men then ran out of the store but not before one of them fired a shot back at the building. Although the bullet did not injure anyone, it did make its mark in the side window of a taxi parked outside of the establishment. As the men ran away from the area, a police patrol came upon the scene and managed to apprehend one of the men believed to be involved in the crime who has since been detained pending charges.
