Direct air service to Guatemala City begins Fri.
It may not have the stature of a Delta or U.S. Air but a new international airline is slated to inaugurate service to Belize. Beginning Friday Tikal Jets will fly twice weekly from Guatemala City to Belize City via Flores. The flights, which will run Monday and Friday, are scheduled to arrive at the P.G.I.A. at 8:45 A.M. and depart for Flores and Guatemala City at 9:30. The new service is expected to facilitate business and shopping opportunities for citizens of both countries while at the same time making it easier for tourists to enjoy the attractions of Belize and Guatemala.
