A Fatal Road Traffic Accident in Melchor Claims Life of Belmopan Resident

In the other fatality, reports are that sixty-eight year old Lloyd Andrews was killed as he drove to Melchor de Mencos, Peten. There were four passengers in his vehicle: Nora Leticia Sanchez and underage siblings Eva Maria, Jimmy, and Egbert Andrews. Lloyd was flung out of the vehicle and passed away in the impact of the crash; the other three persons were hospitalized at the San Benito Hospital in Peten. They will be transferred to the Western Regional this Wednesday. Lloyd’s body, however, was brought across the border over the weekend facilitated by the Guatemalan hospital authorities.  According to the reports, the vehicle experienced a tire blow-out causing the deceased to lose control.
