Supal Street Boss Arraigned for Stabbing Dean Warrior
Notorious street figure, Jason “Soup” Williams, is back in the news tonight for committing an aggravated assault with a deadly instrument and causing grievous harm during an incident at Old Belize on the George Price Highway on March twenty-seventh, 2016. “Soup,” it is alleged, knocked down two persons and stabbed one of the men. Dean Warrior and Elvin Nah claim they were parting a fight involving a third person Jermaine Williams, who is related to Soup when Soup drove up and hit Jermaine and Nah. Soup, it is further alleged, then exited his vehicle and stabbed Warrior several times and then drove off with Jermaine. CIB Commander, Inspector Alejandro Cowo told News Five more.
Insp. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., CIB, Eastern Division South
“There was an activity at Old Belize; there was a function there…several persons attended that function. And just before the function concluded, there was an altercation at the entrance of Old Belize gate. Deon Warrior and another person saw what was happening and they intervened and as a result, a male person inflicted two stab wounds to him and also injured the security guard. Deon Warrior was transported to the K.H.M.H.; he was treated and later released.”

“Sir, the alleged perp is believed to be Jason “Soup” Williams; he’s no stranger to police. Talk to us about how you guys came to that.”
Insp. Alejandro Cowo
“Based on the witnesses on the grounds; statements were recorded; he has been charged for grievous harm. That’s what the doctor classified the injuries as. So he was charged yesterday and he was before the courts this morning.”

“Do the police know a motive for this incident?”
Insp. Alejandro Cowo
“Well as I mentioned there was a fight between one of his younger family and the security guard and Mister Deon Warrior went to assist, to part the fight, and as a result of that, Mister Jason Williams allegedly inflicted the stab wounds to Deon Warrior.”
But in court today, Herbert Panton asked the magistrate to discharge charges against Soup because there was no medico form and this afternoon, at the continuation of his arraignment, the Supal Street resident saw the charge of grievous harm withdrawn by the prosecutor since the form was not presented. Soup entered a no guilty plea for aggravated assault upon Warrior, and he was offered bail. His next court date is set for May thirty first.
