Teenager killed at crowded party
A shooting at a popular nightspot on the Southside of the city has left a teenager dead and his killer on the loose. Witnesses tell News 5 that around one thirty on Saturday morning, during a private party at the Bismark Club, a single shot was fired at sixteen year old Dual Ernest Wagner. The bullet caught Wagner in his forehead and we understand that no one heard the sound of the shot above the din of the music, so it was only a hand full of people who watched helplessly as Wagner fell to the ground near the men’s urinal. The young man struggled to breathe, but reports are that he was pronounced dead on arrival at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. As for the motive behind the shooting, we understand that Wagner, his trademark being his consistently bare feet, was allowed to enter the club by the security hired by party’s hosts because he had arrived with a group of invited guests. It is strongly suspected that Wagner’s attire revealed he could not be hiding a weapon and when the body search by police officers at the door confirmed suspicions; someone who had “beef” with the sixteen year old took advantage of Wagner’s vulnerability. Police continue to appeal to eyewitnesses to cooperate with the investigation and remind the public that a reward of up to one thousand dollars is given to anyone who helps solve serious crimes such as murder.
