Was Theft of Guns an Inside Job?

Alejandro Cowo

There were no security guards stationed at the building during the burglary and it is more than likely that the stolen firearms will end up on the streets of the Old Capital.

Insp. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., CIB, Eastern Division South

“Of course we have concerns. We have just gotten about four or five guns out of the streets and now four more of them are out there. We know that these guns will be used at any time to commit any crime. They were not just stolen just to be stolen for safe keeping or for other use; they were stolen for the criminals to use it in some kind of shootings or other robbery or anything like that. It will definitely gonna be used to commit a criminal act. And as you know we are trying hard every day to get the guns off the streets for now to have four additional guns out there.”

“So the city council was permitted to have those guns?”

Insp. Alejandro Cowo

“Yeah, the guns are licensed and everything to different persons that work at that office there.”
