27 yr. old knocked down near dump

In the ward with Stanwell Arana is twenty-seven year old John Conorquie who was hit by a moving vehicle on Friday afternoon near Belize Waste Control on the Western Highway. Police reports are that Conorquie was crossing the street near the entrance to the dump when he was struck by a van heading towards Belmopan. An unconscious Conorquie was rushed by ambulance to the KHMH where doctors discovered he had a ruptured bladder, a broken shin, and a fractured pelvis. The driver of the vehicle that struck Conorquie is thirty-three year old Jason Harvey. Up to news time tonight, no charges had been filed against Harvey.
