Fugitive returns to face rape charge
A Belizean fugitive will be returned home this week after being apprehended in the United States. According to the US Embassy in Belize, Gouldburne Glenford Adolphus was arrested in the United States on charges relating to possession of a fraudulent U.S. birth certificate. A check with law enforcement authorities in Belize revealed he is wanted in Belize to stand trial for the crime of rape. Adolphus was initially arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and later turned over to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security when it was learned that he is wanted in Belize. This is the second fugitive returned to Belize in recent months.
