Five men charged for robbery on Newtown Barracks
While Morris was sentenced today, five men were charged in connection with an armed robbery. Twenty-one year old Horton Jackson, nineteen year old Matthew Moore, twenty-two year old Erwin Wade, nineteen year old Jerome Wade, and their seventeen year old brother, allegedly jacked Hugo Castillo, a city resident. Justice Sharon Fraser charged Moore and the minor with robbery and the remaining three men were charged with abetment to commit robbery. All were denied bail and will remain in custody until the thirteenth of August. The incident took place on Friday, June twenty-sixth in front of Celebrity Restaurant on Newtown Barracks. Castillo claims that he was accosted by the five men in front of the restaurant, and held up at knifepoint and gunpoint. The items stolen include a wallet containing eight hundred dollars and a Samsung cellular phone.
