Gunned down on Canalside

Not long after Keisha Gordon succumbed to her wounds in one of the City’s most affluent neighbourhoods, across town another victim was drawing his last breath, this time as a result of multiple gunshots.

Twenty-four year old Kenrick Johnson was no stranger to the police and his troubled past actions apparently made him a highly sought target. So when his bullet riddled body was found lying just inside this alley on East Canal many were not surprised.

“Initial investigations reveal that he was standing by an alley and a couple of guys came up behind him and they were wearing masks. As is normal with these cases, nobody saw; nobody knows what occurred and the police you know diligently trying to get some leads as to what exactly transpired.”

Johnson received multiple gunshots to his head and body. At the scene police recovered ten spent nine millimetre shells.

“We know that he has been involved with the police and in fact he was actually shot earlier this year, they apparently made an attempt before but was unsuccessful. Exactly what transpired, we do not know if it was connected to that previous incident or it was in fact something new.”
