Sagitun evens championship series
Good evening, I?m James Adderley and we are inside your living rooms with this fresh package of Sports Monday. After last week?s 2-zip lost to Juventus at Independence, Sagitun journeyed to the People?s Stadium in Orange Walk yesterday, knowing full well only a win could extend the Regent?s Cup Championship Series to a decisive GameIII.
It?s an occasion rife with pomp and circumstances as Sugar City comes out in full force to support its football team and on hand to provide the ceremonial kick-off is the creator of the Juventus football franchise, Raul Pelayo.

We?re fresh into overtime play when Young Lenarez and Hilberto Muschamp team up for the give and go and the left foot by Leanrez gives Sagitun a 3-2 lead. Sagitun would hang on through thirty minutes of overtime play to record the win and extend this Regent?s Cup Series to a decisive Game III, which comes to the MCC Ground this Sunday. So look out for it people.

?It?s just like you?re between a rock and a hard place, but we decide that we have to come here and take home the victory, the same way how they went to Mango Creek and brought back the victory. We were focus this week; we knew exactly what we had to do; we had to play calm and cool–not to get frustrated and always be determine and not too over anxious to get at the goal. It happened to us after we scored the first; everyone started to get relaxed. But we realized we had to calm down ourselves and take control of the game. This is like a dagger in the back for them; they were expected to take home that big trophy. But when I came here and saw that trophy, I told one of my players that big one is going to Mango Creek by the Grace of God and I think we could do that next week.?

?I am very disappointed about today?s ballgame–we came out focus and then on in the end of the game, the referee just change our game. So we have to try and see how we can adept for the next game and come out to try win the championship next week. We are a championship team and a championship team can always rebound despite of what happened on this field today. I think that as long as we stay focus, we can come out on top.?
In Juventus football news–Yabra under twelve beat Caesar Ridge 3-0 to take that title in Albert Youth Centre football tournament, which was staged recently. Yabra?s under fifteen made it a sweep by crushing the Rest of the World 2-zip. This tournament concluded on Saturday.
Over in the Belize Alumni Council Juvenile 2004 tournament–B.A.C. stars edged out Blackman Eddy to take top honours on Saturday while Hattieville pulled up third.
In semi-pro basketball news–Kruzzazz of Belize City rolled past Corozal Dolphins at Corozal, sixty-six to sixty-three in regulation play over the weekend.
Turning to the Softball scene, we have received word that the National Under Nineteen Female Softball Team returned from the first Central American Juvenile Tournament staged at El Salvador, with silver. That tournament concluded yesterday; we certainly say congratulations to our young girls.
In cycling news?Rogue Matus edged out Santino Castillo, the chief for top honours, while Marlon Smith pulled up third in Saturday in Sunday?s non-elite race presented by Santino.
