Belizean makes finals in regional competition
A Belizean is currently a top contender for an international marketing competition sponsored by Scotiabank. The bank hopes to use the winning entry from the multi-national contest to create a new campaign for Scotiabank Be, a program focused on young adults. Twenty year old Kayla Hall, who is currently studying abroad, has so far garnered enough votes to land her among the top ten participants. She is the only Belizean ranked among the semi-finalists from a field of thousands representing fourteen countries. When voting closes next week, the top three finishers from the website’s poll will be announced. They will later be flown to Jamaica where they will personally present their proposals to a panel of high-ranking Scotiabank executives. The judges will evaluate each proposal and make a final selection with the top pick’s campaign being used for the bank’s new program. The winner will also be awarded a handsome cash prize of ten thousand U.S. dollars. If you want to make sure that Kayla Hall places in the finals and represents Belize in Jamaica, you can vote for her at Scotiabank’s poll at www.change-makerchallenge.com.
