Story Picture
The Police have brought formal charges in connection with two recent robberies that occurred at sea. For the jacking of the fishing boat Yanise, which occurred on June twenty-first, at Tobacco Range, the police charged Lincoln “Kilo Boy” Allen, Leonardo Cassanova, and Owen Parham, a.k.a. Oscar Seguro. Parham/Seguro was charged in absentia because he is still at large, while Allen and Cassanova appeared this morning in Magistrate’s Court. They were denied bail and Magistrate Earl Jones remanded them into custody until August sixth. In the formal complaint, Raymond Johnson reported to the police that three men in a black skiff approached the Yanise while he was alone on board the vessel. After one of the men pointed a gun at him, he was pushed off the boat into the sea. Johnson said the robbers stole his catch of seafood valued at eight thousand two hundred and ten dollars.

This afternoon Allen, Cassanova and a third man, Jairu Sedacy, were brought to court in connection with a second case of piracy at sea. The trio were charged with attempted murder, robbery, grievous harm, and use of deadly means of harm. In addition, Cassanova and Sedacy were charged with handling stolen goods. The charges are in connection with a robbery that occurred on June twenty-ninth at Rendezvous Caye. The complainant, Julian Ricalde, was also shot during the robbery. Allen, Cassanova and Sedacy were denied bail and remanded into custody until August sixth.
