Brother of former PM is victim of home invasion
Home invasions have been increasing over the past few years. The most recent attack occurred shortly around midday on Thursday. The target was the home of eighty-two year old Samuel Price; the younger brother of the Father of Our Nation and former Prime Minister George Cadle Price. Samuel was alone in the comfort of his home at miles five and a half on the Northern Highway, watching television, when a male person entered and held a knife to his throat. According to Price, the thief then hit him several times before tying him to his bed. While he was restrained, the assailant then searched the home and then made good his escape. The senior citizen then freed himself and after making checks, noted that his licensed point thirty-eight Colt brand revolver containing five live rounds was stolen along with one hundred dollars from his wallet. Ladyville police say that they believe Price was being monitored by his assailant. No suspects have been identified for the burglary of Price’s residence. But this is not the first time that Price has been attacked. News Five understands that almost two decades ago an attempted burglary incident ended with a fatality when the alleged attacker, Allison O’Brien, was killed. According to sources, O’Brien attempted to enter the home and an alert Price took out his handgun and shot him. Police investigations laterdetermined that the killing was justifiable since it was done in self-defense. When News Five contacted the family, they had no comment.
