ACP Edward Broaster, Regional Commander, Rural Eastern Division
“We had a shooting at the Crooked Tree Junction where one Stephen Palacio from #15 Raccoon Street received five pellet wounds from the blast of a shotgun. He was rescued by a vendor who transported him to the Orange Walk hospital where he was treated. According to Mister Palacio, he saw some individuals catching crab when he was shot. We don’t have any further details at this time. We will be interviewing Mister Palacio sometime later today. This happened just before eight o’clock last night. This his story and we are investigating what he was doing in the area. As far as we know, it seems as if though he was out of his vehicle because his vehicle was not injured. He was in a blue Mitsubishi SUV, for which you can get footage when you are done.”
