Police thwart armed robbery
It’s not everyday that the police on mobile patrol come across a crime in progress, but that is exactly what happened to a team of officers on duty on Wednesday night. Sometime between nine and ten, they were on patrol on Arlington Drive in Belize City when they saw two men attempting to rob another. One of the jackers held a knife to the victim’s abdomen and demanded money. The police intervened and were able to capture one of the assailants, identified only as a twenty-one year old man. He is presently in police custody pending charges.
