Two sought in Belize City shooting
Belize City police remain on the lookout for two suspects involved in a shooting incident on Wednesday evening. According to police, twenty-nine year old Daniel Zuniga reported that he was riding his bicycle on Jasmine Street around six twenty five when two men, one of whom he recognized, approached him. Zuniga told authorities the man that he knew pulled out a black hand gun that looked like a thirty-eight revolver and fired one shot. The men then left the area. Zuniga was hit in his left leg and was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. According to hospital authorities Zuniga, whose condition is considered stable, checked himself out sometime today. The police say they do not have a motive for the shooting and are still looking for their suspects.
