Taste of Belize, a Culinary Experience Like no Other
After a hiatus, this Saturday, Muffles College Auditorium in Orange Walk will come alive for the Taste of Belize event and its signature competitive culinary show. Chefs, bakers and bartenders from across the country will face off in a one-day competition to determine the best in their trade. Puga also took the opportunity to invite Belizeans to come out to the unique event.
Jana Puga, Media & Public Relations Officer, B.T.B.
“We are inviting everyone to come out, it’s an event for the entire family; it is happening all day long. Between nine and eleven, we are having three competitions: the amateur chef, the cake decorator and the cupcake decorator competitions. And between six to eleven, we are having our major competitions which are the master chef and the bartender competitions.”

“Now why is this even important?”
Jana Puga
“Well it is our signature culinary event. We believe that cuisine in Belize is not only for the tourists that are coming in. We want to keep it going as well with Belizeans to keep our traditions alive especially in terms of food.”

“So who’s invited to the event?”
Jana Puga
“Everyone’s invited. Like I said, it is an event that the whole family can enjoy. There will be food, drinks, entertainment going on.”
