Yabra squeaks by Boca Jr.’s in qualifier
The double loss in Canada is history and the 2004 Regent Cup Champion is yet to be decided. So why are we reporting on a midweek football match? James Adderley explains.

The fuel that fires up football in the world is international play, and with the recent kiss and makeup by our football organisations, that fever rages at its highest pitch. Today, these two teams inside the MCC Grounds display a sense of urgency on the field as Kulture Yabra, the defending B.P.F.L. champion, faces the F.F.B.?s A League sub champion Boca Jr.?s of San Ignacio for the only remaining berth to CONCACAF play in 2004.
With visions of fame and fortune on the international stage, Boca Jr.?s opens fast as Amin Cano nevertheless, fails to convert a good chance to score.
For those who thought Yabra would have routed Boca Jr.?s easily, this tenth minute goal by Amin Cano strikes real fear in their hearts of the Yabra fan as the visitors take a 1-zip lead.
Boca Jr.?s shows a desire for more goals when Albert Vasquez fires this left foot that somehow inches over the sticks.
Again, the visitors look dangerous until Cano simply squanders a golden opportunity and can you believe it at the half the city team has no highlights.
In second half things improve for Kulture Yabra and Clifford Usher should have knotted the score with effort, but does not.
A minute later the Nunez to Nunez combination then produce big time dividends when Emory gets the run through from Norman ?Tilliman? Nunez and we have a tied ballgame.
Yabra now has a new zest for this ballgame so, ?Tilliman? Nunez fires this menacing right foot that crashes outside the sticks.
Meanwhile, we?re certain Nunez would like to have this one back people, but he fails to make contact with the ball.
