…And P.T.A. Vice President speaks of victimization
And while Principal Baptist’s job is on the line, Gordon says so is the safety of the parents and students. She told us today that she has personally been threatened and her daughter fears that if Baptist is fired, she will be victimized by the teachers at school.
Olga Gordon, Vice President, P.T.A., Sadie Vernon
“I said to her why did you take my picture, I’m not doing nothing illegal and she took it again. While standing out there I saw a car coming in between the lane under full speed and I didn’t pay it no mind because I didn’t even figure she had called her husband. When they turned back the husband said to me she is my responsibility, yoh noh do she nothing or else yoh wah know weh wah happen. So I told him well tell ah no tek mi pitcha. He said that she has all right to take your picture and if I had a camera I would ah tek it too. So I said to him well tek it, you tek it and I wah burst open your windshield. He is a teacher, he doesn’t know what is happening and he came threatening me because I think I am fighting for a cause.”
Gordon is one of the parents that was elected to the Board but may be removed at the Ministry’s request.
