Roland Rivers Freed From Weed Charges
On February fifth, 2016, Roland Raheem Rivers was busted inside a Ford Escape loaded with fourteen pounds of weed. He was also allegedly found in possession of contraband beers but he was never charged with any offense for the beer. Today, the accused driver of the vehicle who ended up in an accident, was freed from a charge of drug trafficking. The case concluded before Magistrate Deborah Rogers with the withdrawal of the charge since Rivers was never provided with disclosure. With that, he walked out of the court a free man. On the day of the incident, police responded to a traffic accident that had occurred between miles sixteen and seventeen on the Philip Goldson Highway where they met Rivers, apparently intoxicated inside the vehicle which was extensively damaged. A bag retrieved from the front passenger seat contained the weed.
