2 Men are Busted with Fifty-five Pounds of Weed in Roaring Creek

The area of Roaring Creek on the George Price Highway has become a hotbed for crime and illegal activities. On Thursday night, members of M.I.T. were conducting a checkpoint at mile fifty-four on the George Price Highway when they intercepted a vehicle. Two persons were travelling in the van, thirty year old Mathew Jason Ruiz, a mechanic, and twenty-seven year old Juan Bellozo Lagos, a construction worker from Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala. In the back seat of the vehicle, police found two bags containing fifty-five pounds of weed. Both men were arrested and charged for “Drug Trafficking”.
