Man charged in murder of Belama grocer
A man has been arrested and charged for Friday’s murder of a shopkeeper in the Belama area of Belize City. Thirty-two year old Earl Bowden was today brought to Magistrate’s Court and then remanded to Hattieville. According to police, he was drinking at the shop of Chi Hua Qu Friday evening when he became loud and abusive. When Chi asked Bowden to leave, he responded by attacking her with a knife, fatally stabbing her in the chest and face.
