Flooding in the South
There is major flooding taking place in southern Belize due to heavy rains on Sunday night. Those who live along rivers, creeks, waterways and low-lying areas and whose homes are likely to flood are asked to move to safer areas. NEMO Emergency Coordinators in the south are Victor Castillo and Kenton Parham in Toledo. Parham told News Five that waters are receding so there has been no need for evacuation, but still residents are ask to keep an eye on the situation.
