Was Shooting of Clive Arnold Gang-related?

Isaias Sanchez

According to police, they were unable to recover any expended shells from the scene of the shooting since the area covered by the gunman and his intended victim was expansive.

Sgt. Isaias Sanchez, Investigator, Eastern Division

“The crime scene was an extended one due to the fact that the person, the victim ran away after the shooting and he was rushed to the hospital so we were unable to recover any shells from the crime scene.  As a matter of fact, at the time of the incident it was not established as a specific crime scene.  It was after he came out from the theater that we acknowledged where they actually occurred.  We made checks of the area but no shells were recovered.”

“Sir, given the nature of this crime.  It’s gang-related.  Can we or is it fair to anticipate retaliation and can you share what measures have been put in place to combat that retaliation?”

Sgt. Isaias Sanchez

“As far as we can say it’s a personal motive and we have one of the parties in custody.  We have spoken to the party who is Trevor Guy who denies all allegations.  He says that he was at home when the police found him, which is correct.  We also spoke to him in reference to the previous misunderstanding.  Well he is denying the fact that he had any implications in the case.  The department at this time, yes, we have put specific patrols in the area to prevent further retaliation or further incidents in this case and we strongly believe that there will be no other incident of this nature at this time.”

Arnold was previously injured in another shooting which occurred in November 2015.  In that incident, Trevor Guy was arrested and charged for the attempt on Arnold’s life.
