Woman shot on her veranda
A woman has been hospitalized after being shot while on her veranda on Yarborough Road in Belize City. On Tuesday night Jacklyn Williams and her nephew, nineteen year old Godfrey Hemsley, were outside around eight when two men approached the house. One of the men raised a handgun and fired a total of nine shots, one of which hit Williams in the hip. She was taken to the K.H.M.H. and admitted in stable condition. Hemsley was not injured. Police have detained one person and are seeking another suspect.
