Reunion planned for Technical alumni

Alumni of the Belize Technical College have embarked on an ambitious project to bring together past graduates of the institution before it was amalgamated into the University of Belize. Adele Ramos, herself a past student of Technical, is doing some of the leg work for the reunion effort and today she told News 5 that while plans are far from finalized, it’s an exciting project.

“Actually that?s the biggest challenge that were facing right know, and that?s why am here is because we want to stimulate interest to want to let people know first of all that this thing is being planned for the twenty-fifth of May to the thirtieth of May, 2005. Nothing is written in stone right now, so were asking people to fill out a questionnaire that appears in this week?s Amandala on page thirty-two, basically indicating whether you’re in agreement with the date or not, why if your not in agreement to tell us about yourself, what your doing now and that kind of thing, so that we can start to get data so that we can start contacting people. Right now most of the communications are being done through e-mail, but in the questionnaire that appears in the Amandala there are a list of connect people, Mr. Harry Usher for Canada, we have a couple of people of in the United States. For those of us in Belize the contact person is Miss Jocelyn McKoy she works with the Belize Tourism Board and so you can forward your questionnaires to her if there anything you need to know please feel free to contact any of the persons listed or you can contact me at the Amandala press.”
