14 year old girl charged in machete attack
A fourteen year old girl has been arrested and charged for attempted murder, maim, and use of deadly means of harm after she chopped off a woman’s finger. Information is sketchy, but News 5 understands that on Thursday evening Celia James was at a home on Freetown Road speaking with another woman when the young girl came out of the house. James is reported to have then confronted the teenager about rumours that she had been acting greedy over some toys being handed out at the B.T.L. Park on Newtown Barracks. It is alleged that the minor went back into the house and came out wielding a machete and attacked James. James received injuries to her face and five of her fingers on her left hand. She was admitted to the hospital and doctors were able to save all of her fingers except one.
