Super G releases new CD
His powerful but mellow voice has been entertaining Belizeans since the mid 90’s…and who–no matter which party you voted for–could forget the haunting anthem of the P.U.P.’s successful 2003 election campaign. Well, the man with those well tuned vocal chords–Super G–has a new CD out…and today he stopped by for some P.R.
Super G, Recording Artist
“Most of the songs on this album are due to what I think the public likes, what I think the fans would love on a CD, because I study the market very much. Ever since I did my first album, I started studying the market, what they would like on a CD, so that?s basically the people?s choice.”
Jacqueline Woods, Reporting
“Unlock” is Super G’s latest release. The CD includes thirteen tracks that the artist believes represents a cross section of music the public will find pleasing to the ear. The musician, who has gained popularity countrywide as a Punta rocker, admits he prefers singing a slower pace of music.
Super G
“The music that I listen to home is mostly slower type of music, Brukdown, Paranda, Punta, but mellow type of music. The song called ?Do it Like That? is a kinda slower tempo, like Soca, Brukdown like.”
The CD, which is sponsored by Continental Airlines, will be available at all leading record stores on Wednesday. Jacqueline Woods reporting for News 5.
Later this year Super G says he will be on tour in Mexico.
