Girl?s attacker sought in Caye Caulker

A man who attacked and attempted to kidnap a fourteen year old girl in Caye Caulker is being sought by police. The girl arrived at the Caye Caulker clinic early Sunday morning and reported that she was home sleeping when a man she knows, but whose name is being withheld by police, woke her up and tried to make her go with him. She refused and began screaming for help. He stabbed her in the chest and then fled. She was transferred to the K.H.M.H. and admitted in a stable condition.

In another incident in Dangriga, two men have been detained after a nineteen year old woman reported they raped her. The victim says she accepted a ride from the men, but they took her to a deserted area instead and forced her to have sexual intercourse with them.
