Murder on Johnson Street Sunday
The violence in Belize City continues with two more young men killed over the weekend. The first murder took place on Johnson Street early Sunday morning.

Less than forty-eight hours after an attempted murder charge was dropped against twenty three year old Dalton Douglas Reneau, he himself was gunned down and killed on Johnson Street. Sherolyn Viamille says her brother always suspected that he would be killed but that it was only a question of when it would happen. According to reports, Reneau who was accused of trying to kill Michael? ?Yellowman? Henry had just left a girlfriend?s house around one-thirty Sunday morning when two men, riding on separate bicycles, rode up to him and fired a total of five gunshots.

“Well we noh know what all took place. Only thing we know is that he going to buy for his girlfriend and when he gone buy they seh he gone by the street di ride and when he done ride and everything I hear they shot ah inna his back.”
Two of the bullets caught Reneau in his back, another hit him in the chest and another in the back of his head.

“Well the only thing we believe that they shot ah is because he mi have a case with a bwai name ?Yellowman? and he win the case. So we noh know if dah because ah the case they shoot ah, so we noh really know.”
