“Police received report of a fight in progress in front of a local nightclub on Hudson Street. San Ignacio police visited the scene and upon arrival observed two male Hispanic individuals suffering from apparent stab wounds to the upper part of their body. Initial investigation reveals that Benjamin Pinelo, twenty-five years construction worker of a San Ignacio town address, and Antonio Aldana, thirty-six years machine operator of a Santa Elena address, were socializing at a nightclub on Hudson Street. Sometime after exiting the bar, they were engaged in a misunderstanding with two other male individuals who subsequently inflicted the apparent stab wounds on them. Both victims received apparent stab wounds to the upper part of their body. They were transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital and was subsequently transported to the K.H.M.H. in a critical condition. Statements are being recorded and we have two individuals detained for questioning. Police are still trying to ascertain the motive but we do know that alcohol may have been a contributing factor.”
