Fatal accident at Roaring Creek
Also this weekend, a traffic accident on Holy Saturday resulted in the death of a Belize City man. According to police, forty-five year old Winston Smith was a passenger in a Grand Cherokee, which was traveling on the Western Highway towards Belize City when the vehicle crashed into the Roaring Creek Bridge. Winston Smith suffered severe head and body injuries and died on the way to the hospital. The man behind the wheel was Smith’s son, twenty-year-old Deshawn, who escaped with only minor injuries. No charges have so far been filed against Deshawn Smith.
