Youth drowns attempting rescue
In another tragic incident, on Holy Saturday another man drowned, this time while attempting to save the lives of several other swimmers. Reports are that Juan Manuel Orellano was with a group of friends and family at Grace Bank near Sandhill when two girls encountered difficulty in the water. Juan and his father jumped into the river to try and rescue them, but Juan ended up in trouble himself and went under. His body was not found until the next day. He was buried today in Melchor de Mencos.
