Minister Hulse calls for reforms to criminal investigation

According to Hulse, there is a need for reform within the Belize Police Department particularly where it concerns criminal prosecution.

“The whole crime scene investigation gathering mechanism is very loose in a sense, files are missing and all sorts of things.  We have to tighten that and we have to make sure that the citizens know and I have heard lots of complaints, I personally have had some very personal experience where in fact cases that I thought were watertight fell apart and those are things that have happened to me and I know that many of the citizens suffer from the same thing.  We want to make sure that people are satisfied, that people who people who perpetrate these kinds of crimes and things can be brought to court and that justice

can be dispensed.”
