Another cop arrested in P.G.

Another police officer has been arrested, and the venue once again is Punta Gorda. Forty-one year old Corporal Mateo Cab was charged with keeping an unlicensed firearm and ammunition as well as discharging a firearm in public. According to police reports, around one this morning they visited the Indianville area of P.G. where shooting had been heard. Cab, who was on leave, was searched and found to be armed with a nine-millimetre pistol and nine rounds of ammo. Nine expended shells were also found nearby. The gun and bullets belonged not to Cab, but to the Placencia police station. A subsequent search of Cab’s home led to the discovery of a second nine-millimetre handgun and six more rounds of ammo.
