Fatal accident in Camalote
A traffic accident last night on the Western Highway has claimed the life of a fifty-year-old woman and left her husband hospitalised in Belmopan. Around ten o’clock last night, two small pickup trucks were travelling in opposite directions in Camalote Village when somehow they collided. The impact of metal meeting metal sent one of the vehicles off the highway and into a drain. The driver of the blue Mitsubishi, Juan Pineda, receive head injuries and now lies in critical condition at the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan. His wife, Andrea Pineda, died while undergoing treatment. The driver of the other vehicle, forty-seven year old Alfonso Guzman, escaped without serious injuries.
