Cop Charged With Theft in San Pedro

A police constable attached to the San Pedro police formation has been arrested and charged for two counts of theft. This afternoon, PC Zani Savala appeared before the magistrate court for the offenses and is now on interdiction. According to information received, the charges came following an investigation into a report made by a taxi operator on the island that the cop had stolen monies from his wallet on two separate occasions; the most recent took place last week. As we said, Savala was arraigned today and is now on interdiction.
