Safiyyah finds art and family activities for the weekend

Story PictureIt’s Friday and that means Safiyyah’s got some ideas for you. There’s art and culture, family activities and much more happening this weekend. Here are the details on those events and where to go for “One Hot Summer”.

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is What’s Happening Belize?

If you’re an art fan then you should go check out the Kent Meggs art exhibit that is presently opened at the Bliss. This exhibit will remain open until the end of the month and all art fanatics are called out to come and view the works.

Tomorrow night the Belize Audubon Society will be hosting their Dancing and Dining with Nature Night in celebration of their forty years here in Belize. This gala will feature lots of entertainment including dances and an eco-fashion show that will display clothing made by recycled material. The gala will also have music by the Youth Connection Band. This is a fund raising event so you should definitely support if you can.

On Sunday all alumnae of S.J.C. are invited out to an all day family fun day. This fun day will be held at the S.J.C. Gymnasium and will run from nine a.m. until three p.m. There will be lots of exciting sports and cool activities. So definitely go check that out.

On Monday the Yucatan Tourism board and the Mexican Association of Yucatan will be having a Yucatan Culture and Tourism Festival. This event will be held at seven p.m. at the House of Culture. All interested parties are invited out to see what it’s all about.
