Cyclist dead after N. Hwy knockdown
In the past four days, three persons have died in the Belize District following accidents on the Northern Highway. In the latest fatality, thirty-eight year old Henry Sedacey, a resident of Gardenia Village, lost his life on Monday evening after he was knocked off his bicycle. According to police, they have detained the driver of a Toyota Hilux pickup truck after he reported that around six-thirty he was travelling between miles twenty-three and twenty-four when he hit Sedacey, who was riding his bike in the same direction. The impact was so great that the vehicle’s right front fender and windshield sustained damages. Sedacey was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. No charges have yet been brought against the vehicle’s driver.
