American woman killed in traffic accident

An American woman was killed in a traffic accident near the Santa Elena border on Sunday. Sixty-six year old Lucy Moss was a passenger in a Geo Tracker that ran off the road and into a parked Toyota Prado. The driver of the Tracker, sixty-eight year old American Dale Marshall, told police another vehicle overtook him causing him to lose control and hit the Toyota Prado parked on the side of the highway. Moss sustained serious head and body injuries and died at the scene. This morning Marshall appeared in court and was charged with causing death by careless conduct, manslaughter by negligence, and driving without due care and attention. He met bail of five thousand dollars and is to reappear in court on April eighth.
