Northern Businessmen Fingered for Drugs & Undersized Conch
Businessman Albert Jerry Guy appeared in court on two separate this week where he pleaded guilty to possession of drugs and undersized conch. GSU were on patrol on Water Lane on Wednesday morning when then they saw two men loading a black bag into a vehicle. They proceeded to search the vehicle where they found a small amount of marijuana, forty-eight undersized conch and six packs of alleged contraband cigarettes. As a first time fisheries offender, Guy was charged five hundred dollars plus five dollars court fee, as well as twenty dollars for each of the forty-eight undersized conch which totaled to nine hundred and sixty dollars. Guy must pay the grand total of one thousand five hundred dollars by May 2017. If he defaults on payment he faces five months in prison. On his second trip before the court, Guy was charged with possession of a controlled drug. He was fined a thousand dollars which he must pay by the end of the year.
