House of Culture plans moonlit nights
If you are still not decided on exactly what to do on Friday night, the House of Culture has a suggestion: watch the full moon rise over the Belize harbour. Programme Coordinator for the Institute of Social and Cultural Research, Froyla Salam, says it’s a family event.

“Moonlight Night at House of Culture is an opportunity for moon lovers to come and see the full moon rise over the horizon in its splendour.”
“Anybody and everybody is welcomed. All we’re asking for is a contribution of ten dollars and that flat rate will cover live music by Pablo Collado. And I think once you come here, listen to the music and chit chat with your friends, you will leave here feeling very, very relaxed.”
The full moon will rise at six twenty-three on Friday evening and while food and drinks will be on sale, Salam says people are welcome to bring their own. A number of other similar activities are planned throughout the year.
