Alcohol related deaths reported over weekend

Police are investigating two deaths over the weekend, one in San Pedro and the other in San Narciso in which alcohol consumption may have played a role. On Sunday, San Pedro police pulled the body of forty-year-old Paul Young from the sea. Initial investigations indicate that Young had visited a bar the night before and because he appeared to be intoxicated was refused service. Sometime after that, he is believed to have made his way to a nearby pier where he may have fallen asleep and into the water where he drowned. His body was taken to the K.H.M.H. for a post mortem. Also on Sunday, a man was found dead in a drain outside of San Narciso Village. Investigations indicate that Juan Vasquez had been riding his bike just after midnight and may have lost control and ended up in the drain. However, another person who was at the scene, and reportedly intoxicated at the time, has been detained for questioning.
